Anderson's redesigned Rocket Tech has been creating a stir among the softball community since its the PREMIER aluminum bat for the 2005 season. With the highest legal limits at 98mph for ASA, and the new .375 Compression balls, aluminum is all but history for high performance bats. Well that's not the case with the RTCK... Its got a great feel, and delivers GREAT distance even with the low comp balls. This isnt an easy task for an aluminum bat, and I didnt believe they could do it... So when I first started testing the RTCK I wasnt expecting much, but I was pleasently surprised... The overall performance and distance was GREAT! It was hanging just behind the top composites such as the Synergy, Katana, and Insanity... I wouldnt put it in the same level as the Freak or Combat, but then again its also $60-$90 less. I would say that for the $200-$250 range the RTCK wont dissapoint, and will surprise some of the toughest skeptics... Your gonna love its SUPER DUPER FAST BREAK IN (compared to the 1,000+ break in Rocket Tech Original). Your also gonna love the fact that its does well with the low comp balls, and even the cork balls. We had one of our smaller guy's (leadoff) testing this bat when we were at worlds and he had a few DBO's that were not expected... So needless to say I took the bat from him and made him swing something else... He isnt a big guy and for him to be getting the ball well over 300ft was amazing to me, especially since we were in 90+ temps hitting .400 comp balls...
