My Own Personal Review of the Worth Mutant 120 Softball Bat
The Mutant took me a couple of rounds of batting practice to get used too… The first round I hated the bat, the 2nd round I thought it was okay… then on the third round, something clicked and the bat started to ABSOLUTELY smoke the ball. I was getting nearly the same distance as I was with my Jeff Hall, but the way the ball came off the Mutant was different. The Jeff Hall carried better, but the line drives and the balls I hit in the gap with this bat were INSANE. This bat feels like nothing Ive ever hit from Worth before, and I mean that in a good way.. The flex in the barrel and handle actually work together no matter how hard you swing the bat. Some bats I feel like you can over flex the handle if you don’t swing it right, but I didn’t seem to have that problem with the Mutant. It seemed the faster/harder I swung, the better this bat worked. I was getting some of the best distance of the day with this bat, and couldn’t believe that just a few swings before I hated it. The bats takes a few swings to get used to its flex, but once you do, your gonna love it. Also it seemed that no matter where I hit the ball on the barrel, I couldn’t sting my hands. This is another great feature of the Mutants 3 piece design.
