My Own Personal Review of the 2006 Worth Mayhem ASA
Worths first step into the 100% composite bat market is definately
a good one... The Mayhem is a good bat, with decent performance, good durability, and a big sweet
spot... The first thing you will notice is how heavy these bats are, and the location of the
sweet spot. The mayhem's Ive tested, were all swinging at least 1oz heavier then their marked
weights. So the first thing I would recomend, is going down 1oz from your normal bat weight with
the new mayhem. This bat is HEAVY! The 2nd important note is that unlike most newer bats, the
sweet spot is not towards the end of the barrel... It is located approx 2" from the taper
to about 3"
from the end... anything more towards the end and your gonna be hating life... I have a feeling
this is due to the extremely balanced weighting of the mayhem.
The Mayhem takes 200-400 cust to break in, and will definatley heat up the more you swing it...
So dont just throw her out the window after the first round of bp, because she will WARM UP!
Give her some time, and some swings to get used to the location of the sweet spot, and the mayhem will reward you with solid performance, a great feel, and great durability.
