The new comer to the heavy weight division of bats is taking the industry by storm. The Toledo Sports company stepped into the ring with the toughest competitors in the industry and scored a knockout!!! This bat has a huge sweet spot, great overall performance and is one of the few all association bats... The Katana is approved for play in ASA, NSA, ISA, USSSA, ISF and pretty much everything else... Thats a HUGE+ if your looking to carry one bat into this coming season. The katana work's great with the .44 525 and even does okay on the .44 375's... The overall distance is GREAT, especially when you get a chance to hit the higher compression balls. We were testing the Katana II on a baseball field with 330ft RF 390 Center and 330LF dimensions. I was hitting .44 525 Razzo and Gold Dots off the fence in Right Center all day long and even managed to squeeze a few over the fence. We estimated the longest shots from the Katana at about 335-345ft. My longest shot's with the Freak were estimated at approx 350-375, so this badboy isnt that far behind the highest performing legal composite from Miken... (known as the industry leader in composite's)
You will love the super fast break in (mine was ready to bomb in about 25 swings). And the great feeling this beauty make's when your hitting the harder balls... Its an average bat on the super mushy balls, but then again pretty much everything suck's on those crap balls...
