My Own Personal Review of the 2008 Jeff Hall Mutant 120 34" 27.5oz
I thought the Mutant was a great bat, and I think the Jeff Hall Mutant is a Great bat too... This bat has incredible pop, a huge sweet spot, and is so forgiving you wont believe it. The bat has a nice end loaded feel and a slightly different feel then the original Mutant. The original Mutant seemed to take a little bit more to break in, as where my JHMutant felt hot almost immediately after opening her up. The end load isn't as much as you would expect from a Jeff Hall end loaded model bat, but its still a lot more end load then most companies are putting out. When you first swing it, you will notice the way the 3 piece design performs/feels/swings slightly different then a traditional slow-pitch bat. It took me a couple rounds of BP to get max distance and consistency from this bat, but once I did it was SMOKING THE BALL! I was getting Hr's to clear the OF Fence on a baseball diamond. This bat comes with Worth's awesome unlimited 1 year warranty against defects in workmanship or material... What's this mean to you? If the bat cracks in normal use (I.E. Not in a batting cage, or under 50 degrees temperature) they will replace it free of charge unlimited times for 1 year from the date of purchase (as long as you have a valid dealer receipt). This is one of the best things about Worth's warranty... the worst thing is their customer service in the warranty department tends to be quite slow to respond to emails, or ship out replacement bats. I still gave them a 9.0 in the CW&CS department due to the unlimited replacements for one year. So if your a true bat masher and have trouble with durability, have no fear... WORTH WILL TAKE CARE OF YOU!
