3 YEARS... Thats how long its been since Ive swung a TPS bat that wasnt a piece of garbage... Their coming out party is the CATALYST and its everything I hoped it would be... The pop is huge, the sweet spot is gigantic, and the overall performance is in the top of the class... The Catalyst get's a failing bat company back into the market of high end softball bats. This is the bat to have from louisville slugger for the new year. The way the ball came off the bat was incredible... The infielders and outfielders were fooled several times when I was hitting this bat... The sound it make's doesnt go with the ball flight... not to mention the rocket's through the infield werent going to be caught by just any avg infielder... If you werent on your "A" game, then you didnt stand a chance. The Catalyst was producing great distance with .375 and .525 balls, which surprised me. I did not expect it to do nearly as well with the .375's as it did. It did fall to the same death as other composites when the heat reached near 100 and the ball's became sock's, but that's to be expected. When your hitting in that kind of weather and the low compression balls are softer then a wet noodle, nothing hits well... The only down side I can see to the Catalyst is its beautiful clown graphics.. if you can stand an ugly bat, then the CATALYST WONT LET YOU DOWN!!!
