My Own Personal Review of the Combat B1 98 Asa Approved
Compared to 100mph bats, the b198 will feel stiffer and take a bit
longer to break in... The other thing I noticed right off the bat, is it swung lighter then
its twin brother (B1 DaBomb)... So if your swinging a 27oz EL in the DaBomb, try a 28oz EL
in the 98... This will give you the extra endloaded needed to flex the slightly stiffer walls...
Also note that this bat will take a little more to break in, but once she breaks in, the
ball will take off as good if not better then any other 98mph bat out there..
I would rate the distance as a 8 outta 10, and a 9 outta 10 for ASA bats that are rated at 98mph... This
bat has good pop, and a big sweet spot... Just give it a little time to break in, and you'll be hitting
bombs in no time... Easily going to be one of the top bats for ASA in 2005/2006...
